Ray Carless in conjunction with the Change Bar presents an evening of acoustic music featuring one of the UK’s finest exponents of the guitar, Ciyo Brown who will be joined by Colin McNeish on double bass and Phil ‘Lifeforce’ Harper on percussion.
Tonight sees Ciyo performing songs on nylon string guitar from a world music and hence eclectic perspective. He will be drawing upon the full range of his musical experiences which include performances with the likes of Alex Wilson, Jean Toussaint, the Jazz Warriors, Steel Pulse, Aswad, Bishi, Roachford, Carleen Anderson, Carol Thompson and many more and will therefore fuse jazz, blues, reggae, calypso, r’n’b and classical music.
This evening is simply not to be missed!

Ray Carless in conjunction with the Changa Bar presents the consecutive week of music from one of the UK’s finest guitarists, Ciyo Brown who will be reunited with the the great Winston Clifford on drums and the incomparable Larry Bartley on double bass. This evening’s proceedings will pay homage to some of the great jazz performers and composers such as John Coltrane, Dexter Gordon, Sonny Rollins, Jerome Kern etc.
Billed as a genuine reunion gig, Ciyo relishes another opportunity to perform with what he describes in his very own words as ‘the most dynamic rhythm section on the planet’! This is an evening that promises to be action-packed, thrilling and full of good vibes......just don’t miss out!
